Does This Feel Familiar?

You tell yourself you’ll only have one drink. Once you start, stopping is so much harder than you expected it to be. You start thinking about that first drink hours before the day is even done. It feels like the only way you’ll properly switch off.

You keep making new rules. Only at weekends. Only with dinner. Never before 6pm. Somehow, the rules keep changing. You promise yourself tomorrow will be different. Maybe Monday. Start fresh. Get back in control.

3am. Dry mouth. Racing mind. That same tired feeling of why did I do this again. You’ve noticed how many empty bottles are in the recycling. You’re not sure when it became this many.

From the outside, you might look like you have it all together. Inside, you’re exhausted by how much space alcohol is taking up in your head. You don’t drink every single day, so surely it can’t really be a problem. Except when you do drink, you often lose count of how much. The thought of never drinking again feels overwhelming. The thought of carrying on exactly like this feels just as exhausting.

You don’t have to keep going around in the same circle.

You are not weak, and you have not failed.

If you recognised yourself in any of that, please hear this clearly: alcohol didn’t take over because something is wrong with you. It became the way your mind and body learned to cope, to switch off, to find a moment of relief when everything else felt like too much.

That’s not a character flaw. That’s a survival strategy that’s simply stopped working for you.

I offer private, one-to-one online support for people who want to reduce or stop drinking. No shame, no diagnosis, no sitting in a circle of chairs telling strangers your story.

Together, we look at what’s actually sitting underneath the drinking. Stress. Anxiety. Emotional overload. Habit. The simple, human need for an off-switch. From there, we work toward real, practical change, so you feel calmer, more in control, and more like yourself again.

About Sasha

Hi, I’m Sasha. I understand exactly where you are, because I’ve been there myself.

Before I found my way to RTT®, I knew what it was to open a bottle just to get through an evening, and to tell myself the next one would be different. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re managing everything on the outside while something underneath is quietly running the show.

I want you to know: this isn’t about willpower. It never was. It’s about what’s underneath. The unprocessed stress, the emotional triggers, the protective patterns your body and mind have been carrying, often for years. Sometimes it isn’t even a habit. It’s a survival response that’s outstayed its welcome.

That’s where our work begins, together.

I'm accredited through RTT®, ACCPH, IACT, GHR and IICT, and I work with people online, privately, wherever they are.
